Iran green film festival announces nominees

The 6th edition of the International Green Film Festival has announced the nominees of cinema section.

The jury of the sixth edition of the Green Film Festival announced the nominees of various sections including short and long documentary, short and long films, experimental and animation.

Works from Iran, China, Malaysia, the Netherlands, Colombia, Mexico, Spain, the US and Italy have been chosen to compete at the final stage of the event.

The event's 2017 edition aims to highlight sustainable tourism in line with the UN’s World Tourism Organization that has named 2017 as the International Year of Sustainable Tourism for Development.

As Iran’s sole environmental event on motion pictures, the fest was founded in 1999.

The 6th edition of the International Green Film Festival is underway from September 9th and scheduled to end on September 15, 2017, simultaneously in Tehran and some other Iranian cities.
